Сажетак

Критичка медицинска антропологија је грана медицинске антропологије настала седамдесетих година 20. века. Обликована под утицајем политичке економије здравља, односно марксистичке традиције на којој се ова перспектива темељи, критичка медицинска антропологија феномене у вези са болешћу, здрављем и лечењем сагледава у контексту светског капиталистичког система. У оквиру ове гране медицинске антропологије, интерпретације, веровања, праксе и искуства на локалном нивоу, међу припадницима неке културе, повезују се са политичким и економским процесима на макронивоу који су последица глобалног ширења капитализма, а фокус је на односима моћи и неједнакости. Овај рад има за циљ да представи развој, основне тезе и концепте критичке медицинске антропологије.
